MV Agusta F4 Recalls
There have been a number of recalls for the F4, these are listed below:
Oil Filter
There have been two recalls for replacement oil filters, please ensure that your F4 has the latest oil filter fitted.
Buckets - Shims
Year 1999 and 2000 models were recalled for replacement buckets and shims in the valve train.
Inlet Manifold
There has been a recall to replace the inlet manifold on the year 2000 F4, you can tell that the unit has been replaced because there is a blue paint spot on number 1 injector (on the left of the motorcycle)
Gear Selector
There is a recall for a new part in the gearbox selector mechanism.
Front Brake
Year 2000 F4 models have been recalled for replacement front brake master cylinder and calipers, the F4 Oro is not affected by this recall.
Clutch Slave Cylinder
Year 1999 and 2000 models have been recalled for a replacement clutch slave cylinder
F4 1000R and F4 1000 Senna
Following consistent monitoring of product quality, there is evidence of a possible malfunction of the timing chain tensioner, which could prevent the correct function of the engine.
It is consequently necessary to replace the timing chain tensioner on the following motorcycles:
- Model F4 1000R - Model Year 06 from Chassis No. 6V004490 to No. 7V005793 inclusive
- Model F4 1000 Senna - Model Year 06 from Chassis No. 6V004451 to No. 6V005396 inclusive
